Letter to Self

My Dearest Malky,

I hope, from time to time, you will look at a picture of yourself as an innocent child and live up to his aspirations.

That you will avoid undesirable characteristics. That you will not give a rat's arse what other people think of you because you know that you lived your life with courtesy, integrity, and tolerance.

I hope you have become the person that the child in you wanted to be. That you are proud of who you are and what you have become. That you keep your good humour and not take yourself too seriously.

That your facial wrinkles are from smiling not frowning. That you drink deeply from the elixir of life that is laughter. And you keep that mischievous twinkle in your eye and use it with abandon.

I wish you time to spend with the people you love. That the people you love have the same time for you and that you never become an inconvenience to them.

Remember the child in you,
