I did, at first, but they didn't gain much traction. I think police officers aren't as highly regarded in other parts of the world (where most Medium members come from) than the UK - and they ain't well thought of there.

Yet, detective fiction and crime remain the most read and viewed genres elsewhere.

My police books were badly written to start with (now re-edited) but they did well because the stories were great. All cops have great stories because we witness the worst (and best). Life is concentrated.

I thought about doing a police publication here but I kinda like learning new things and having no niche.

You couched your Jasmine story just right, raised questions, made people (me anyway) think, and showed your caring human side.

You'll need to gauge how yours do.
