I posted this without amendment because I want E3 to be a place for all views and opinions, regardless of whether I disagree with them or not.

And, nobody is perfect. Yes, there are times in my police career I disagreed with the way senior officers handled some situations. I have written about and criticised them in my books and online.

On the whole, the police officers I worked with tried their damndest to police fairly without fear or favour. As a senior officer, I demanded it from my cops.
