I took over from a guy who got promoted to another area. After a month my colleague told me he didn't know what I did but his job was half as hard and twice the fun.

Then the guy I took over from came back as my boss. He was a micromanager. I had six months to go and it was the hardest six months of my career. So I stayed on another 2 months just to annoy him ;-)

Oh boy. That was a fun 2 months.
