I'd love it if we all made a living from self-publishing, the reality is we can't. Very few make it a full time living, even in traditional publishing. Writers should be aware that half of the books published sell as little as 12 copies.

There are things we can do to improve sales. Sensible things like pricing. It's frightening how many people don't read and of those who do, the majority read one or two books per year. What do we need to do to make sure it is our book they choose?
