My books weren't well enough edited, at first, to attract an agent or publisher. I knew that.
It would be nice to have the support of a big publisher, but that is no guarantee of making more money. I did a previous article, 'Half of all traditionally published books sell fewer than 12 copies.'
I'm glad I self-published. Although, it's not for everyone.
It's a tough gig. Most people would rather give you £5 than pay 99p for a book. I'll be writing more about this topic in the near future and some of the other mistakes I've made.
