My older brother and I went through a similar thing. I always thought he would regret not having the same fantastic relationship I had with my younger brother and sister. Then, a few years ago, I realised he just wasn't made life that. He only loved doing deals.
This summer my younger brother passed away. I was devastated. My older brother said he wanted to replace him in my life. Time will tell.
