Poetry doesn't leave me cold but it isn't in my sphere of interest-or so I thought. I avoid it. Maybe that is why it wasn't read, people avoid it. But I was taken with your enthusiasm and it did make me think of other poetry I have enjoyed, I love the Scottish bard for example.
