Thank you Jay.

Rhetorical devices are like studying languages, science, wine. You read it, but your don't really understand it or remember it all that well. It can be genuinely complicated.

Then you spot one in something you are reading and say, 'Aha!'. (I've done that with French, Italian and wine)

It took time for me time to incorporate them into my writing, and generally I do it in the revising phase, especially where I find weak text.

Like all studying, it comes more naturally after a while. In the revising phase, I often take them out because they can be overused or inappropriate.

I have a book in mind. Work in progress, Medium is the testing ground and I will get there in the end. Lots more to come before then, though ;-)

Thank you for your support, it's much appreciated.

Kind regards

Malky
