Thanks for your kind comment.

In answer to your points. My friend was also traditionally published, I was surprised to learn he signed a contract for 8 % of royalties, to be paid on each £1k earned. Three years later he has still to earn a penny. They didn't even make it available on Kindle.

We definitely can't rely on friends and relatives. If they don't write, they have no inkling how much time and effort you put in or how important your baby is to you. They'll happily buy you a bottle of wine but grudge the price of a coffee for your book. I stopped trying to figure that out.

I think publishers have to publish many books because, despite all their knowledge, they are never sure what will fly. Harry Potter struggled to get a deal, and look at what happened.

I searched for you on Amazon and found Anna Marques had written 3 books in Portuguese?

It took me a little while to find your pseudonym. I think you need to be easier to find and you may have an issue with the high pricing. I presume that's your publisher's choice. I would be pressurising them to do regular kindle deals. I reckon about 1 in 50 can be bothered doing a review, so you need a lot of readers to get those reviews going.

If mentioning your book anywhere on social media, include a link to it.

Don't give up, keep at it.

All the best.

Good luck
