This wasn't a rant, rather a genuine concern, which I get. I share much of your concerns.

As a boost nominator, I'm seeing some benefits. Articles are being scrutinised closer, AI users are being challenged and collaborative efforts are improving the quality.

Medium needs to produce quality content to differentiate from all the crap out there. Algorithms can be problematic in that respect.
