Without Googling it, 'built like a brick shithouse' is a Scottish term. It's a shared outside toilet of a tenement block. Whilst it came to mean something that couldn't easily be knocked down (compared to the wooden shithouses) in an analogy for a man, when applied to a woman, it implied she was solid, cold, something forbidding or scary and you often had to wait your turn 🤔
